Eye Projects

I know that it may seem like I've been concentrating on the work team, but actually we are bringing a well equipped team to do eye exams and eye surgery.

We will be busy with many jobs as well there.

One of the chief jobs will be for Lauryn, Mary Jo and Scott to spend time with Maria Luisa in teaching skills on eye exams and refractions and postoperative checks.  (Shall we call them LB, MJ or just the "Toronto gals" and "The Big Pluss"?)

We also have a budding surgeon who can't wait to get in the OR and see just how easy eye surgery is (Tyler, Eye MD)  We are hoping that he stays in a Holiday Inn Express the night before he leaves!!

In addition, we will be doing cataract surgery on patients that have been previously screened.  Dr. Pletcher and Dr. Heitman (Ecuador Stan and Kan Do Kurt) will be working together and doing an excellent technique that has become one of the gold standards for high quality, efficient mission surgery.
